Are you passionate about data? Are you looking for a role where the information you provide has a direct impact on how things are done?

Our Asset Planning Division is in search of an Intermediate Asset Information Analyst to maintain and improve Infrastructure asset data. Your enthusiasm for data will be useful when ensuring it is converted to information which supports the asset management planning process. Vacant due to an internal promotion, this role will see you working with stakeholders across the Infrastructure Group and beyond, so being able to foster genuine and productive relationships is key.

Our Asset Information Team has a depth and breadth of knowledge to coach you in all aspects of asset data. You would become familiar with various industry standard systems along with getting out and about round town investigating gaps in our asset data and understanding the types of things Council installs and maintains for its rate payers.

This is a full-time role, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

Your focus in this role will include:

  • Learn the intricacies of maintaining, operating and supporting the Asset Management Information System (AMIS).
  • Provide operational support of AMIS to the rest of the organisation.
  • Assist the team with data input, research and correction
  • Propose and implement approved changes to improve the management and quality of asset data.

Your interest in all things data, coupled with your understanding of the importance of effective communication and relationships with a diverse range of people will provide a solid foundation for success in this role.

You will need to be a detail-oriented, flexible, and resourceful individual with a strong sense of professionalism.

To excel in this role, you should possess the following skills and experience:

  • Good communication skills developed through previous customer facing experience
  • Have an aptitude to learn Data reporting (Power BI)
  • Have previously worked with data collection software (even if it’s just Microsoft Excel!).
  • Enjoy filling in the blanks and organising data
  • An understanding of the importance of data and recording data
