Tararua Health Group is looking for a Registered Nurse to join our dedicated team across our various sites for a 12 month fixed term, starting January 2025.

As our Registered Nurse you will deliver primary care nursing, where our patients should feel respected and assured that they have received the best possible care. 

Your responsibilities across our practice will be to:

  • Provide high-quality nursing care and support to patients
  • Perform ECGs, wound care, and suture/staple removal
  • Manage recall and clearing of inbox/tasks
  • Handle phone nursing duties, including phone triage and prescriptions for GP approval
  • Carry out vaccinations, smears and patient education.

To thrive in this role, you will possess:

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a RN in Primary Care
  • Current NZ Practising Certificate as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing Council of NZ.
  • Certified vaccinator and smeartaker
  • Proficiency in ECG, dressings/wound care, suture/staple removal
  • Experience with phone nursing, including prescription management
  • Understanding of primary health care clinical programmes and experience with complex health needs
  • Alignment with the principles of The Treaty of Waitangi

Hours of Work: 32 hours per week with flexibility 

Start Date: January 2025 - January 2026
