About the role:

We are seeking an experienced Science Laboratory Technician who wants to have a meaningful impact on student learning in science. The primary job of this role is to support our teachers in delivering physics learning in secondary school.

Key duties and responsibilities: 

  • Preparation of physics resources and equipment for student laboratory work
  • Management and maintenance of resources and equipment
  • Take part in planning units of learning designed for students year 7-year 13
  • Ensuring Health & Safety obligations are adhered to

Key skills and experiences:

  • Experience in handling and maintenance of secondary school physics equipment
  • A science qualification
  • Current drivers license
  • An understanding of the resource requirements of a secondary school science faculty
  • Knowledge of the Schools Laboratory Code of Practice as well as the Health and Safety at Work Act.
  • The ability to work collaboratively within a diverse and high functioning team
  • A strong sense of initiative and well-developed organisational skills
