Our high-performing IP team is one of the country’s top trademark filers at IPONZ and its broader IP expertise is locally and internationally recognised by several directories, including the Legal 500, WTR1000, Chambers and Partners, and Managing IP. The work in this team is diverse, interesting, and challenging – spanning trademark prosecution and disputes, copyright and design matters, Plant Variety Rights, and consumer and marketing law.
We’re looking for an IP specialist with at least 5 years’ experience, including in trade mark matters. You will be someone that is a team player, with a good technical background, and a drive to further develop your career.
Whether you have outgrown a boutique IP environment or are just looking for the next challenge in your career, Duncan Cotterill has a great opportunity for you to leverage your trademark and IP knowledge in one of New Zealand’s largest commercial law firms.
We can offer opportunities to: - receive multiple levels of support from peers, colleagues, and partners
- deal with interesting, diverse work and a wide range of national and international clients
- access ongoing training and development
- be immersed in our fantastic culture, something that we're very proud of
- be exposed to great professional support networks
With a national IP presence, this unique opportunity would ideally be based in our Wellington office, but we are open to other locations and also have offices in Auckland, Nelson, Christchurch and Queenstown. You will be a part of Duncan Cotterill’s national IP capability, with the unique opportunity to join a team that works across the firm serving our clients on a national and international basis.
Duncan Cotterill has five offices across New Zealand and is one of New Zealand’s largest law firms.
As a full-service law firm focused on working with leading privately owned businesses and high net worth individuals, we occupy a unique position in the legal market. Come help us make a difference to our clients!
