Retail Assistant – Lake Road

 1X Permanent, Part-time - 5 hours per week (Saturdays)

About our shop…

Our Lake Road retail shop is run by an incredible team of staff and volunteers. This is a whaanau who really cares. Our stores sell a range of quality recycled goods including furniture, clothing, bedding, books, home ware, bric-a-brac and more. The profits our stores make go directly towards the resources we need to be able to provide exceptional care for our Waikato community. 

About the role…

Saturday is a busy day for our store, so we are looking for a retail assistant who will provide excellent customer service, help on the shop floor, sort donations, and alongside the team, get the mahi done.   

This is a great opportunity to start your career in retail and gain plenty of hands-on experience.

We’re looking for someone with:

• Willingness to learn and a positive attitude

• Available to work every Saturday  

• Good fitness as there’s a component of moving goods and furniture

• Excellent customer service and communication skills

• Energy and interest in helping people in our community 

Applicants must have the right to work in NZ. The successful applicant will be required to undertake pre-employment health screening (including drug testing) and complete a criminal records check, the results of which must be to Hospice Waikato’s satisfaction.
