About the Role
As a Care Partner, you will support our residents with daily living activities and help them live well, safely, and with dignity. Working alongside Registered Nurses and an experienced clinical team, you will play an important role in creating a warm, welcoming, and supportive environment for our residents.

This is an entry-level opportunity designed for individuals who do not hold healthcare qualifications. Full training, orientation, and ongoing support will be provided.
  
What You’ll Be Doing

1. Supporting Our Residents
  • Assisting with personal care, including showering, dressing, grooming, toileting
  • Supporting safe mobility and transfers using appropriate equipment
  • Assisting with meals and hydration
  • Promoting residents’ comfort, independence, and wellbeing
  • Observing and reporting changes in residents’ health to the Registered Nurse  
2. Creating a Safe & Welcoming Environment
  • Following infection prevention and health & safety procedures
  • Maintaining a clean, safe, and respectful environment
  • Supporting falls prevention and safe care practices  
3. Being Part of the Team
  • Working collaboratively with nurses and the wider care team
  • Building positive relationships with residents and their families
  • Participating in handovers and team meetings
  • Completing care documentation accurately and on time
  
About You
You don’t need previous healthcare experience – we are looking for people with the right values and attitude.

To be successful in this role, you will:
  • Have a genuine passion for caring for older people
  • Be compassionate, patient, respectful, and reliable
  • Have strong communication skills and be able to communicate effectively in English (spoken, written, and reading)
  • Be willing to learn and develop new skills
  • Be able to work rostered shifts, including weekends and public holidays
  • Be eligible to live and work permanently in New Zealand
The ability to speak additional languages such as Mandarin, Cantonese, Korean, or Japanese would be an advantage but is not essential.

  • The position offers a fixed hourly rate of $25.89, plus any applicable allowances.
  • The role involves working on a rotating roster across any day of the week.
  • Typical rotation shifts include:
    • o AM Shift: 7:00 am – 3:00 pm
    • o PM Shift: 3:00 pm – 11:00 pm
