Waitemata District provides 24 hour, 7 days a week hospital services to the largest and fastest growing population.

The hospitals have a model of after-hours hospital coordination that has 2 Duty Nurse Managers at North Shore Hospital and 1 Duty Nurse Manager at Waitakere. The team work supporting the after hour needs of the hospital and are the operational leadership who manage resource allocation to the patient demand and ensure safe patient flows.

You will be a registered nurse with significant (more than 5 years) experience with broad based clinical experience in acute medical and surgical nursing. Previous experience In a senior nursing role and have a current portfolio to meet the Nursing Council of New Zealand requirements. You will be a high performer, eager for challenge, and highly motivated. 

This role requires extensive Duty Nurse Manager knowledge and previous experience. 

The role coordinates patient flow, bed allocation and managing all aspects of hospital operations with a direct responsibility for the operations of the hospital after-hours including weekends and public holidays. The role may work at North Shore and Waitakere Hospitals, but will be predominately based at Waitakere Hospital.
