Precast HQ is growing fast, and we’re looking for an experienced Precast Estimator who understands how precast is actually built, not someone who just plugs numbers into a spreadsheet. If you’ve got 3+ years of real precast estimating experience, we want to talk.

Precast HQ manufactures everything from architectural and structural precast through to large civil products including box culverts, chambers, channels, and custom elements used across NZ.

The Role

You’ll be responsible for preparing accurate and efficient detailed precast estimates across both civil and structural projects.

You’ll Be Doing

• Pricing precast civil, structural, and architectural projects

• Reading and interpreting structural & civil drawings

• Completing accurate take-offs (concrete, reinforcement, cast‑ins)

• Reviewing specs, PS documents, and tender packages

• Preparing clear and professional tender submissions

• Identifying risk, buildability issues, and margin exposure early

• Working with production, commercial, suppliers, and engineers

• Managing steel, hardware, transport and material pricing

You must be confident working independently and meeting tender deadlines.

About You (Non‑Negotiable)

• 3+ years precast estimating experience

• Strong understanding of reinforcement, concrete behaviour, and precast manufacturing

• Ability to confidently read and visualise structural/civil drawings

• Accurate, efficient, and commercially aware

• Strong Excel and digital take-off skills

• NZ experience

You take pride in backing your numbers, no guesswork.

Bonus Points

• Experience in pricing box culverts and large chambers

• Knowledge of NZS 3101 / NZS 3109

• Experience working closely with a precast production team

• Familiar with buildability reviews and design coordination
