About the Role

As a Team Leader, you will play a key role in the day-to-day operation of the store. You will lead shifts, support and train team members, maintain exceptional operational standards, and help create an amazing experience for both customers and staff.

You will be trusted to make decisions, solve problems, and help ensure the store operates smoothly and efficiently.

This is a permanent full-time position with a minimum of 5 working days per week. Team Leaders are expected to work a combination of morning, evening, weekend, and public holiday shifts as required by the roster.

This is a hands-on leadership role and involves working alongside the team during busy service periods.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise team members during shifts

• Complete opening and closing procedures

• Train, coach, and support new team members

• Maintain high cleaning, presentation, and food safety standards

• Handle customer enquiries and complaints professionally

• Complete cash handling and reconciliation procedures

• Assist with stock counts and inventory management

• Monitor product quality and consistency

• Support the Social Media Manager when required with filming, content creation, and in-store promotions

• Help create a positive, energetic, and accountable team culture

• Ensure every customer receives a premium Shibbys experience

About You

You are positive, reliable, and enjoy leading people.

You likely:

• Have hospitality, retail, customer service, or leadership experience

• Are confident taking responsibility and making decisions

• Stay calm under pressure during busy periods

• Take pride in high standards and attention to detail

• Have excellent communication skills

• Are proactive and willing to take ownership

• Are available to work weekends and public holidays on a rostered basis

• Understand that hospitality is a customer-first industry and are flexible with working hours

Bonus if you:

• Have previous shift leader, supervisor, duty manager, or management experience

• Have food safety knowledge or certification

• Have experience training staff

• Have experience opening or closing a hospitality venue
