The Capitol Cinema is looking for new part-time team members to join our front-of-house crew.

We’re an independently owned, heritage-listed cinema with vintage charm, modern comforts, and a whole lot of heart. From the latest box office releases to community nights, private screenings, client functions, and special events, we’re here to make every visit feel memorable.

This role is much more than selling tickets. You’ll be hosting, pouring, serving, welcoming, problem-solving, and helping create the kind of cinema experience people remember.

We’re looking for people who:

Are confident working in a fast-paced environment
Hold a current Duty Manager’s License
Have great customer service instincts and high hosting standards
Can work evenings and weekends
Bring excellent energy to every shift
Are comfortable behind a bar and can make a good coffee
Love working with people
Enjoy being part of a small, hands-on team

We’re also looking for a part-time Front of House / Projection Support person.

This role is perfect for someone with a keen interest in cinema projection and events, who wants to support our Projectionist and wider team in delivering exceptional screenings, functions, and special events.

You’ll help keep the show running smoothly, support technical delivery where needed, and work alongside our team to create standout experiences for audiences and clients.
