We’re seeking a skilled and motivated Forklift Operator to join our busy timber yard. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely operate forklifts to load, unload, and move timber and other materials.
• Accurately pick and pack orders for dispatch.
• Maintain the yard’s organization and ensure all products are stored correctly.
• Inspect and report on forklift functionality and safety.
• Assist with stock control and inventory management.
• Provide excellent customer service to clients and tradespersons visiting the yard.
• Comply with all health and safety policies and procedures.

What We’re Looking For:

• Proven experience operating forklifts in a fast-paced environment (preferably in a timber yard or similar setting).
• A valid F endorsed forklift license (required).
• Knowledge of timber products and/or building materials (advantageous).
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling tasks.
• Honest and reliable timekeeping
• A willingness to learn
• Good communications skills

Previous retail experience and/or experience in timber and building products would be an advantage although applicants with a proven retail background and who are eager to learn will be considered. 

The role reports to the Drive Thru Supervisor and will be rostered Tuesday to Saturday.
