The Role
This is a hands-on position focused on delivering accurate payroll services and practical HR advice every day. Reporting to the CFO, you’ll manage payroll for around 140 staff on a fortnightly cycle and act as the first point of contact for HR queries. You’ll ensure compliance, maintain records, and support managers and employees with clear, timely guidance. You’ll also help improve systems and processes for efficiency and accuracy.
Key Responsibilities
End-to-end payroll processing, including tax, KiwiSaver, and deductions
Maintain HR and payroll data integrity
Provide day-to-day HR advice on policies, employment matters, and compliance
Liaise with IRD and external agencies
Assist with HR/payroll system improvements
About You
3+ years’ experience in payroll or HR (healthcare preferred)
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and relationship-building ability
Proficient in payroll/HR software
Relevant tertiary qualification desirable
