We are seeking a strategic and visionary Head of R&D with deep expertise in the pet nutrition sector, and international experience, to define and execute our innovation strategy, lead our talented R&D team, drive product innovation, compliance and technical excellence, and deliver world-class solutions in pet nutrition.

• Support our site-based R&D Manager, ensuring robust systems and processes are in place

• Drive new product development and optimize existing formulations.

• Ensure compliance with international food safety and regulatory standards.

What You Bring:

• 10+ Years’ senior strategic leadership experience in R&D within pet food or related industries.

• Tertiary qualification in Food Technology, Science, or similar.

• Established expertise in talent development - demonstrated ability to influence, mentor, and deliver results through people.

• Advanced knowledge of pet nutrition, product formulation, ingredient functionality, and process optimization

• Experience with analytical testing methods and interpreting complex data sets.

• Proficiency in regulatory compliance and international food safety standards.

• Ability to leverage emerging technologies and R&D tools to deliver innovation.

• Strong understanding of scale-up processes from concept to commercial production.

• A solutions-focused mindset and passion for future-focused innovation.
