The Role

We’re looking for a skilled System Architect to join our Engineering team and help shape the next generation of safety-critical products. If you enjoy owning system architecture, working across hardware and firmware, and making sure products are safe, robust, and rock-solid in the field — this is your kind of role.

What You’ll Do:
As a System Architect, you will lead the development and maintenance of robust system architectures, ensuring seamless integration of hardware, software, and firmware interfaces while meeting functional safety and operational performance requirements. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Lead the definition and documentation of system-level requirements

  • Develop and maintain system architecture compliant with IEC 61508 to SIL 3

  • Perform hazard and risk analyses including HARA, FMEA, FMEDA

  • Allocate safety and functional requirements across hardware, software and interfaces

  • Define redundancy, diagnostics and safe-state mechanisms

  • Oversee system integration and verification planning

  • Manage test plans, traceability matrices and system-level V&V

  • Support functional safety assessments and safety case preparation

  • Collaborate with electrical, mechanical, software, test and production teams


What We’re Looking For:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Systems Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related discipline preferred but not required.

  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in Functional Safety, Systems Integration, or Project Systems Engineering.

  • Strong knowledge of systems engineering lifecycle (requirements, architecture, design, verification, validation, and maintenance).

  • Experience with system architecture definition, interface control, and requirements traceability.

  • In-depth experience applying IEC 61508 and SIL standards or similar functional-safety standards.

  • Strong skills in requirements decomposition and interface control

  • Strong technical documentation skills; proficient in MS Word and Excel.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

  • Ability to obtain and maintain security checks.

Desirable:

  • Functional Safety Engineer (IEC 61508) certification.
