About the role

Join the vibrant retail team at Magpie Home / Magpie Style in a casual position. This role based in our Strowan, Christchurch store, offering the flexibility to work around your schedule.

As a Retail Assistant, you will be an integral part of delivering an exceptional customer experience and contributing to the continued success of our growing home and fashion retailer.

What you'll be doing

1. Providing friendly and knowledgeable customer service to ensure our customers have a positive shopping experience

2. Assisting with the display and merchandising of our latest fashion collections

3. Maintaining high standards of store presentation and cleanliness

4. Processing sales transactions accurately and efficiently

5. Restocking and replenishing products as needed

6. Supporting the store manager with administrative tasks as required

What we're looking for

1. Previous experience in a customer-facing retail role, preferably in the homewares or fashion industry

2. A friendly, approachable and helpful attitude with a genuine passion for providing excellent customer service

3. Strong organisational skills and attention to detail

4. The ability to work well independently and as part of a team

5. Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends

6. Ability to learn systems and processes efficiently.
