An opportunity has come to market for a Senior Tax Consultant to join this established firm in central Auckland. This is a chance for a specialist to apply your expertise and add serious value to the firms diverse client base.

This position sits within their specialist tax team which is dedicated to providing high-quality tax advice to a range of SME's. You will be responsible for a mix of compliance work, while also focusing on complex tax issues. This is an advisory focused role, and the firm require someone who can emphasise strategic thinking and problem-solving for their clients.

Responsibilities:

• Provide in depth tax advice across a range of industries with a focus on SME's.
• Address specific tax challenges, including GST and property investment considerations.
• Translate tax, accounting and legal principles into actionable insights for clients.
• Provide compliance and tax advisory services.

Requirements:

• At least 4+ years of experience in tax, ideally within the big four, mid-tier firm, or tax-specialist consultancy.
• A proven track record of advisory work for smaller businesses (not large corporates).
• Expertise in drafting high-quality, specific tax advice.
• A background in law, commerce, or both (CA qualification is not essential but advantageous).
• Interest or experience in property investment tax is highly desirable.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
