The Opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Class 5 Driver / Stabilising Operator based out of our Waihou branch.

You will primarily be responsible for driving the truck pulling a four axle transport trailer with machinery to site, unloading and loading the machinery, then operating various machinery with some manual labouring. You will be part of the team delivering high quality heavy maintenance road works, primarily across the Matamata Piako District network.

The role would require the successful candidate to take part in a variety of tasks and responsibilities within our Stabilising crew including:

  • Driving and spreading aggregate, Class 4 truck

  • Towing 4 axle transport trailer Class 5

  • Loading and unloading plant of and on the transporter and securing

  • Operating roller, loader and trucks

  • Assist with stabilising site operations

What we need from you

  • Class 4 and 5 licenses with W & R endorsements

  • Self-motivation coupled with a high degree of safety focus

  • Drive to achieve productivity, goals and deadlines

  • Attention to detail

  • Excellent verbal and writing communication skills

  • Honesty and reliability
