Bar Manager– Rātā Restaurant | Queenstown

Rātā Restaurant an acclaimed hospitality institution in the heart of Queenstown New Zealand, is seeking an experienced Bar Manager to join their dynamic team. As the Bar Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the smooth and efficient operation of the bar, ensuring exceptional customer service and driving sales. What you'll be doing

1. Manage all aspects of bar operations, including stock control, inventory management.

2. Train, develop and mentor team members to deliver outstanding customer service and create memorable experiences for guests

3. Develop and implement creative cocktail and beverage menus to drive sales and align with the company's brand and vision

4. Monitor and analyse sales data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement

5. Ensure compliance with all relevant licensing and regulatory requirements

6. Collaborate with the broader management team to contribute to the overall strategy and direction of the business

What we're looking for

1. Experience (2+ years) in a bar management or senior bartender role within a high-volume and fast-paced hospitality environment

2. Demonstrated expertise in creating and implementing creative and profitable beverage programs

3. Excellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team

4. Strong financial acumen and the ability to manage budgets, inventory, and sales data

5. Passion for the hospitality industry and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service

6. Proficient in using POS systems and other relevant bar technology

7. Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment
