About the role

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Cleaning Attendant to join our team at our Penrose, Auckland location. This is a casual position that offers flexibility and the opportunity to be part of a professional cleaning operations team. As a Cleaning Attendant, you will play a vital role in maintaining cleanliness standards across our facilities, ensuring that all areas are thoroughly cleaned, sanitised, and well-maintained to the highest standards. Your work will directly contribute to creating safe, hygienic, and professional environments for our clients.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning and sanitising of assigned areas, including floors, surfaces, windows, and fixtures

• Operate and maintain cleaning equipment and tools in a safe and effective manner

• Follow established cleaning protocols and procedures to ensure consistent quality standards

• Empty rubbish bins and dispose of waste in accordance with company guidelines and environmental regulations

• Maintain accurate records of cleaning activities and report any maintenance issues or hazards to management

• Restock cleaning supplies and consumables as required

• Respond promptly to requests for additional cleaning or urgent cleaning needs

• Maintain a professional appearance and conduct whilst representing Starplus Services Ltd.

• Adhere to all health and safety regulations and company policies

What we're looking for

• Previous experience in a cleaning or maintenance role is advantageous

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards

• Ability to work independently and take initiative to complete tasks efficiently

• Physical fitness and ability to perform repetitive tasks and lift moderate weights

• Reliability and punctuality, with the flexibility to work casual hours as required

• Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team

• Knowledge of health and safety practices in cleaning operations

• Valid driver's licence and own transport (desirable)

• Willingness to learn and follow cleaning protocols and company procedures

• A positive attitude and commitment to customer satisfaction
