The Opportunity

Due to an upcoming retirement, PPS Industries Ltd is seeking an experienced Purchasing Officer to manage and execute international procurement activities across our supply chain.

This is a hands-on role ideally suited to someone with strong experience in international purchasing, demand forecasting, and negotiating with overseas suppliers.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end international purchasing and procurement processes

  • Forecast demand and plan purchasing with overseas suppliers

  • Build and maintain strong supplier relationships

  • Monitor inventory levels to meet business requirements

  • Coordinate logistics and ensure compliance with import, customs, and company policies

  • Resolve supply, quality, or delivery issues as they arise

Key Requirements

  • Proven experience in a purchasing or procurement role

  • International purchasing experience is essential

  • Strong negotiation skills with the ability to secure effective supplier agreements

  • Experience working with international suppliers and logistics

  • Excellent communication and relationship management skills

  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities

  • Must be currently in NZ
