We are seeking a highly capable IT/Data Analyst to support the Tūpore Group in strengthening operational excellence through data-driven insights, modern systems management, and digital innovation. You’ll play a vital role in shaping how data, technology, and intelligent automation underpin our future.

You will be a technically skilled and analytically minded professional who can turn complex data into clear insights that support decision‑making across the business. You will take a proactive approach to improving data quality, streamlining workflows, and integrating systems to enhance operational efficiency. Confident in both IT operations and data analysis, you’ll manage hardware, software, and secure access environments while working collaboratively with teams to help build a modern and reliable digital ecosystem.

This role will provide you with the opportunity to influence how data and technology support performance across Tūpore. You’ll work with modern BI tools, integration technologies, M365, and emerging AI/ML capabilities, gaining exposure to meaningful digital transformation projects. Role Overview

As the IT/Data Analyst, you will be responsible for delivering actionable insights, managing critical hardware and software assets, improving data flows, and supporting digital transformation across the Tūpore Group.

Your position will require strong technical capability across data analytics, systems integration, IT operations, and stakeholder communication. You will work closely with the CFO and internal teams to ensure secure, reliable, and efficient digital processes.

Additionally, you will apply practical AI/ML solutions, support project delivery, and contribute to a safe, secure, compliant working environment.

Key Responsibilities

Data Analysis & Insights

  • Develop dashboards, reports, and data models across business units.

  • Perform exploratory analysis to identify trends, variances, and root causes.

  • Build forecasting and scenario models.

  • Maintain data dictionaries and ensure data quality.

Hardware & Software Management

  • Maintain asset registers and manage lifecycle of devices and licenses.

  • Manage patching, backups, antivirus/EDR, access management, and compliance.

  • Standardise device images and ensure endpoint security.

  • Coordinate vendor relationships.

Systems Integration & Automation

  • Integrate line-of-business systems using APIs, ETL/ELT, or RPA.

  • Build reliable data pipelines and automate workflows (e.g., Power Automate).

  • Reduce manual data handling while ensuring security and auditability.

Project Management & Delivery

  • Scope, plan, and deliver IT and data projects using appropriate methodology.

  • Manage business cases, roadmaps, communication, UAT, and change control.

  • Support transition to BAU and track benefits realisation.

AI & Advanced Analytics

  • Identify opportunities for AI-driven improvements.

  • Build prototypes/MVPs and promote responsible AI practices.

  • Educate teams on safe, effective AI usage.

What We’re Looking For

Essential:

  • 3–5+ years in a combined IT/Data Analyst or Systems Analyst role.

  • Proficiency in Power BI and SQL.

  • Strong Excel skills (Power Query/Power Pivot advantageous).

  • Experience with ETL/ELT tools, APIs, and integrations.

  • Practical IT operations knowledge (Windows endpoints, Intune, M365/Entra ID).

  • Strong understanding of information security and access management.

  • Demonstrated project delivery skills including requirements, planning, and UAT.

  • Excellent communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.

Desirable:

  • Experience with ERP/HRIS/CRM integrations.

  • Exposure to Trimble & ERoads software

  • AI/ML exposure

  • Familiarity with cloud data platforms.

  • Knowledge of NZ regulatory frameworks.
