The Financial Management Unit operates as a Shared Services to other groups and units within the Council and this role will work within a team responsible for managing and processing all the Council's receivables and transactional banking activities.
We are looking for someone who is good with numbers, has reconciliation skills, experience in banking and cash receipting with analytical and problem solving skills to work within the Transactions Team of the Financial Management Unit.
Your key responsibilities include ensuring all receivables transactions receipted timely and accurately, the Councils' bank entries and balances are uploaded and allocated daily to meet the Council standards and business needs.
To set you up for success you will have high attention to detail, the ability to effectively communicate to a wide range of stakeholders, be proficient in the use of technology and have advanced excel and numerical skills. You will have a desire to take a collaborative approach, a customer driven attitude and have accurate numeric skills. Due to our ever changing environment you will need to be flexible and have the ability to adapt.
