The Role

The Mining operations team at Snowy River has an opening for an entry level Miner to work within the existing team of experienced miners to provide safe and productive executive of duties that support mine development activities including jumbo offsider, truck operations, service crew and supporting heavy equipment operations.

This role is on a 7 on/ 7 off rotating day and night roster arrangement and has significant room for growth through guidance from an experienced team and supervisor.

Your Responsibilities:

Operation of machinery

• Ensure the safe operation of dump trucks, ITs, Agi’s and other mobile fleet mining equipment

• Complete jumbo off siding in line with jumbo development procedures

• Operate equipment to support other roles such as shotcrete spraying, services install or movement of waste/ore material.

• Support the safe and timely delivery of the mine and development schedule

Installation and maintenance of services

• Install services including air, water, pump out lines & ventilation in line with demands of the mining activities

Reporting

• Completion of paperwork, documentation and other tools required by site procedures and policies.

 Safety

• Participate in safety and environmental verification activities and inspections.

 Other

• Undertaking additional / alternative responsibilities as reasonably assigned by the Shift Supervisor, Mine Superintendent or Mining Manager.

About You

• Experience in mobile heavy equipment including haul trucks and other mobile machinery.

• Controlled Substance License and Certified Handlers License or willingness to obtain.

• Wheels, Tracks, Rollers (WTR) qualification or willingness to obtain.

• Class 2 & 4 Drivers License.

• Current Drivers License with clean record.

• Current First aid certification.
