TaxLab is a profitable, 20-person SaaS company operating in New Zealand and Australia. We’re hiring our first COO to take operations off our founder’s plate and build the foundation for growth. You’ll run key functions from day one, build systems from scratch, and hire the right people to scale them. If you’re a builder who makes things run better, faster, and smarter - we’d love to talk.

What you'll do

Own and run these functions from day one:

• People & Performance: culture, engagement, hiring, onboarding, performance, HR systems

• Legal & Compliance: contracts, privacy, IP, compliance (with external advisors)

• International Expansion: systems, vendors, regulatory setup

• Operations: KPIs, reporting, scalable processes across the business

Lead and manage existing teams:

• Customer Acquisition: marketing, sales, go-to-market strategy, conversion metrics

• Customer Success: onboarding, retention, support, customer health metrics

• Information Security: oversee InfoSec team and privacy compliance

You’ll thrive in this role if you:

• Have scaled SaaS or tech teams before

• Are equally strong in strategy, systems, and hands-on execution

• Lead teams confidently and get things done yourself

• Stay calm and structured under pressure

• Bring experience in finance, legal, and compliance functions
