ABOUT THE ROLE
This role plays a key role in the daily rhythm of Buttercup. Working closely with the front-of-house team, this position ensures the smooth flow of food preparation, bakery operations, The ideal candidate is self-directed, motivated, and thrives in a clean, well-organised, and community-focused environment.
ABOUT YOU
Passionate about food, local produce, and the craft of baking
Previous experience as a pastry baker including kneading, maturing, cutting molding, mixing and shaping dough and pastry products, experience working with sourdough a big bonus!
Monitoring oven/prover temperatures and product appearance to ensure accurate cooking times
Coordinating the forming, loading, baking, unloading and cooling of bread batches, and baked goods
Strong organisational and time management skills
Flexible and adaptable to the evolving needs of a small, hands-on team
Excellent understanding of food hygiene and safety standards
Current driver’s licence preferred (for deliveries and pickups)
Self-directed, reliable, and able to work autonomously
