About the role

We are seeking an experienced Excavator Operator to join our dynamic team at United Civil Construction Ltd in Whangarei, Central Northland. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of excavators on our construction sites, playing a crucial part in the successful delivery of our projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Operating excavators safely and efficiently

• Trenching, bulk earthworks, and final trim work

• Working around services and within active construction sites

• Daily machinery checks and basic maintenance

• Following site health & safety requirements at all times

• Assisting the wider team with labouring tasks when required

What We’re Looking For

• RTW endorsement (essential)

• Proven experience operating excavators in a construction or civil environment

• Full Class 1 driver licence (Class 2 an advantage)

• Solid understanding of health & safety on site

• Reliable, punctual, and a strong team player

• Ability to follow instructions and work independently

• Flexibility to work on stay-away projects when required

• Ability to pass criminal convictions, medical and drug/alcohol checks
