Do you have experience supporting people with complex needs — perhaps in mental health, youth work, disability, behavioural services, rehabilitation, or the corrections/probation system? Are you someone who stays calm under pressure, builds strong relationships, and isn’t afraid to advocate for what’s right? If you’re motivated, resilient, and passionate about making a real difference, this role could be exactly what you’re looking for.
Community Living Limited is a leading provider of support for people with intellectual disabilities living in the community. We take a person‑centred approach and work alongside individuals, whaanau, and communities to maximise independence, dignity, and quality of life.
Our RIDSAS service is a specialist, legally mandated programme providing intensive support, care, and rehabilitation for people with intellectual disabilities who have complex forensic, behavioural, or statutory needs. We operate across secure and supervised residential environments, creating safe, structured spaces where people can grow, stabilise, and move forward.
This is a unique and highly impactful position. As a Care Manager, you will oversee the care, rehabilitation, and progress of individuals referred under the Intellectual Disability (Compulsory Care and Rehabilitation) Act 2003 (IDCC&R Act).
You’ll work closely with a multidisciplinary network — including health professionals, behaviour specialists, probation and court services, whaanau, and internal teams — to ensure each person receives high‑quality, person‑centred support.
This is a full‑time role requiring commitment, confidence, and the ability to navigate complex systems with professionalism and heart.
Develop, implement, and monitor individual care and rehabilitation plans in line with the IDCC&R Act

A relevant health or social services qualification (Level 5+ preferred) or equivalent work experience
Experience working with vulnerable people with complex forensic, behavioural, or statutory needs
Strong communication skills — written, verbal, and relational
Ability to build trust, collaborate, and advocate effectively
Excellent organisation, time management, and prioritisation
