About the role

We are seeking a friendly and passionate Part-time Retail Assistant to join our team at Devonport Chocolates in Auckland, Commercial Bay and Devonport stores. We are looking for a fabulous person that can work Sunday and Monday.

As Retail Assistant, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and helping to maintain our store's impeccable presentation. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, takes pride in their work, and thrives in an environment where no two days are the same. What you'll be doing

• Deliver exceptional customer experiences through warm, personalised service

• Take an active role in achieving sales targets through product knowledge, customer engagement and thoughtful recommendations

• Build genuine relationships with customers

• Maintain organised, clean and well-merchandised retail spaces

• Work with accuracy and a sense of urgency when managing inventory and processing transactions

• Receive, check and replenish stock with accuracy and attention to detail

• Work efficiently during busy trading periods while maintaining a high standard of service

• Learn and adapt to new products, systems and processes as the business evolves

What we're looking for

We’re looking for an enthusiastic and reliable Part-Time Retail Assistant to join our team, working Sunday and Monday (12 hours per week)

• Friendly, confident, and genuinely enjoy interacting with people

• Demonstrate logical thinking, and have the ability to act with initiative and integrity to solve problems

• Organised, detail-oriented and takes pride in seeing a job through to completion

• Adaptable and able to work effectively in the pressure of a fast-paced retail environment

• Reliable, self-motivated and accountable

• A positive team player who is willing to support wherever needed

• Digitally confident, with the ability to quickly learn new systems and processes

• To be considered for this role you must be a New Zealand citizen, or hold permanent residency, or a NZ work visa with no restrictions.
