We have an opportunity for a management accountant to join our team in the Wellington Region. This is a great opportunity to be part of our business and deliver the Good Work Fulton Hogan is known for.
This is an excellent opportunity for a management accountant where you will have exposure across all of the different accounting areas and plenty of opportunity to add value. The variation in work done by Fulton Hogan across the Wellington region is vast, everything from quarries to streetlight maintenance so in this role every day will be interesting.
Responsibilities and duties:
Timely preparation of accurate monthly management accounts including month end calculations and journals
Balance sheet reconciliations
Take an active role in preparing annual budgets and monthly forecasting
Perform monthly general ledger integrity checks
Support external and internal audit process
Train and support the assigned business unit managers to meet the requirements on financial aspects of the business
Preparing claims for projects and assist with project reporting as required
To work as part of the team to deliver deadlines
Any other administrative duties as required
Previous exposure to construction and maintenance programs of work would be an advantage but is not essential.
Experience and attributes:
A relevant tertiary qualification.
CA or CPA qualified (Candidates currently completing qualification will also be considered)
3+ years of management accountant experience
Excellent multi-tasking and organisational skills
Highly proficient in the use of MS Office
Experienced in analysing and coordinating large amounts of data
Excellent communication skills across both verbal and written mediums
