About the role

We are seeking a Factory Staff member to join our production team at our East Tamaki, Auckland facility on a This is a hands-on role within our assembly and process work operations, where you will contribute directly to the manufacturing and packaging of our premium gelato products. You will play a vital part in ensuring our products meet our exacting quality standards whilst maintaining efficient production schedules. This role is essential to our operational success and offers the opportunity to develop valuable skills in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key responsibilities

1. Operating production machinery and equipment in accordance with established standard operating procedures and safety protocols

2. Assisting with the mixing, blending, and preparation of gelato ingredients and batches

3. Packaging finished gelato products into containers and ensuring correct labelling and coding

4. Monitoring product quality throughout the production process and reporting any deviations or issues to supervisors

5. Maintaining a clean and hygienic work environment, including regular cleaning of equipment and production areas

6. Checking and inspecting products for defects, correct weight, and proper sealing before dispatch

7. Loading and unloading raw materials and finished products as required

8. Following all food safety, hygiene, and health and safety regulations at all times

9. Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives and assisting with process optimisation where possible

10. Working flexibly as part of a team to meet production targets and deadlines

What we're looking for

1. Previous experience in a manufacturing, production, or food processing environment is highly desirable

2. Ability to operate machinery and follow technical instructions accurately

3. Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high quality standards

4. Physical capability to perform repetitive tasks and to stand for extended periods

5. Excellent personal hygiene practices and understanding of food safety requirements

6. Reliable, punctual, and able to work consistently as part of a team

7. Flexibility to adapt to changing production demands and shift patterns

8. A positive attitude and willingness to learn new processes and skills

9. Valid NZ work visa or permanent residency

10. Full driver's licence is advantageous but not essential
