West Plaza Hotel is looking for an experienced full-time Head Housekeeper to help lead our Housekeeping team!

The Hotel is in the heart of Wellington CBD, with 102 guest rooms, 4 conference rooms, a restaurant and bar.

We are looking for someone who will be able to co-ordinate and manage the Housekeeping Department and to also provide the hotel with clean and tidy guest rooms, conference rooms and public areas. They will also ensure consistency in the presentation of these areas.

Some of the key responsibilities are:

• Managing all aspects of the housekeeping operation, ensuring all guest rooms and public areas are met to the highest possible standard of cleanliness.

• Supervise, train and recruit staff. As well as demonstrating high standards of service and motivating the staff to maintain the same standards.

• Completes weekly roster for the Housekeeping department and balancing this with hotel occupancy.

• Monitor inventory and order guest amenities, cleaning supplies and linen as needed.

• Ensure compliance with all food safety, hygiene, and health & safety standards.
