Purpose of the Role

The Clinical Lead will provide strong clinical leadership with appropriate and timely clinical advice for Invercargill Medical Centre and South City Medical.  This includes mentoring and support for the growth of our clinical team. 

The Clinical Lead will also work as a General Practitioner, delivering comprehensive, patient-focused, culturally appropriate primary care to a defined population.

The role ensures that: 

* Quality care is provided to patients based on the latest evidence, Clinical Guidelines, and Legislative Requirements. 

* Care is delivered professionally and safely, meeting the specific needs of patients and their families/whānau. 

* Advice and leadership are given to clinicians to support their Professional Development.
