Kiwibank is looking for an experienced technical analyst with a background in business intelligence and reporting. 

He aha te ia o tēnei mahi - What's this role all about

In this role, you'll be leading the analysis and high-level specification of Kiwibank's analytics and reporting data flows. This involves:    

  • Gathering and validating functional and non-functional requirements for data, analytics and reporting solution design and development.
  • In consultation with business, data warehouse and report building SMEs, understanding and specifying end-to-end producer to consumer data flows and high-level data processing logic in these data flows.
  • As necessary and where appropriate this also includes, using query tools, a data catalog, and other ancillary data flow tools/tech, in order to; discover data assets, harvest the relevant technical metadata of those assets, add business metadata, profile data assets, explore and understand data asset lineage. All with the purpose of specifying robust data flows as requirements and design inputs to data warehouse and report developers.  

Tā mātou e kimi nei - What we are looking for

  • Proven experience with data requirements analysis, business process modelling/mapping, methodology development, and data modelling
  • 5 plus years' experience working with SQL and/or Python, databases, Business Intelligence tools
  • An understanding of data architecture and ETL processes
  • Experience developing and documenting data warehouse designs/prototypes
  • Strong stakeholder management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal presentation skills

Bonus - not essential

  • Experience in Snowflake, AWS, PowerBI
  • Experience with Data Vault methodology
  • Experience in designing and implementing dashboards and reporting
