Iconic Kiwi brand Canterbury of New Zealand is on the hunt for a Retail Assistant to join the team at our Hornby Store. If you're passionate about delivering excellent customer service, enjoy sales, and are self-motivated, we’d love to hear from you.

Our successful candidate will be able to commit to 9:30AM - 6:15PM on Sundays, with the flexibility to pick up additional shifts and work public holidays.

What we're looking for

• A positive, confident communicator who enjoys working with people

• Someone who loves sales and able to hit targets

• A reliable Team Player with a great attitude and strong work ethic

• Previous customer service or retail experience is desriable, but not essential - if you've got passion, we've got training
  

The role you'd play

• Delivering exceptional customer service and creating positive in-store experiences

• Learning and sharing product knowledge to help customers find their perfect fit

• Supporting the team to achieve sales target and KPIs

• Maintaining high visual merchandising and store preparation standards

• Processing sales and handling stock with care and accuracy

Canterbury of New Zealand was established in 1904 by John Lane, Pringle Walker and Alfred Rudkin, three English immigrants, turned proud Kiwis, who began producing woollen clothing in the Canterbury province of New Zealand. The three had such a love for New Zealand, they named their clothing company after the place they lived - the proud region of Canterbury. And what did they decide on for the logo? Three Kiwis, of course.

The brand was so well known for making hard-working and resilient garments, the NZ Army asked them to make uniforms that could endure the conditions of the First World War. And whilst Canterbury has been synonymous with rugby and multi sports for the past 120 years, the versatility of our clothing has been seen as a ‘badge of honour’ for anyone who pulls on the iconic CCC logo– from rugby, to sailing, the worksite and everything in between.
