About the role

Law & Associates is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Solicitor to join our growing legal team in Manukau, Auckland. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for managing a diverse portfolio of family and civil litigation cases, providing expert guidance and support to clients throughout the entire legal process.

What you'll be doing

• Represent clients in court proceedings

• Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to build robust cases

• Draft high-quality legal documents such as pleadings, affidavits, and submissions

• Negotiate settlements and resolutions on behalf of clients

• Provide clear and practical legal advice to clients, guiding them through complex legal issues

• Collaborate with the wider legal team to ensure efficient and effective case management

• Stay up-to-date with changes in legislation and legal precedents

What we're looking for

• 5+ years of post-qualification experience in family law and civil litigation

• A proven track record of successfully representing clients in court proceedings

• Excellent legal research, analysis, and writing skills

• Strong communication and negotiation abilities, with the ability to explain complex legal concepts in a clear and accessible manner

• A keen eye for detail and the ability to manage a varied caseload effectively

• A collaborative and client-focused approach, with a genuine commitment to achieving the best outcomes for clients

• Admission to the New Zealand Law Society and a valid practising certificate
