Our pharmacy operates in a high-volume NZ community pharmacy environment, providing personalised healthcare services to a loyal and diverse patient base. Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Pharmacy Technician to join our dispensary team.
This role is strictly for experienced Pharmacy Technicians with New Zealand community pharmacy experience.
To be considered, applicants must meet one of the following:
Currently living in New Zealand with 2β3+ yearsβ experience working as a Pharmacy Technician in a NZ community pharmacy, OR
Overseas-qualified Pharmacist or Technician who has already worked in a New Zealand community pharmacy in a Pharmacy Technician role and can clearly demonstrate NZ dispensary workflow, systems, and compliance experience
β Applicants with overseas-only pharmacy or technician experience will not be considered
β Students, trainees, interns, or entry-level applicants will not be considered

This is a hands-on role within a busy NZ community pharmacy dispensary, supporting Pharmacists and the wider team. You will contribute to daily workflow efficiency, dispensing accuracy, stock management, and compliance standards.

Preparing, packaging, and labelling prescriptions accurately
Referring prescriptions appropriately to Pharmacists
Supporting daily dispensary workflow and prioritisation
Maintaining accurate patient medication records and profiles
Managing stock ordering, receipting, rotation, and inventory
Using pharmacy dispensing and stock management systems ( Toniq )
Ensuring compliance with SOPs, hygiene standards, and regulations
Assisting with compounding under Pharmacist supervision (where applicable)
Delivering professional, patient-focused customer service
Supporting overall dispensary organisation and efficiency
Minimum 1β2 yearsβ experience as a Pharmacy Technician in a NZ community pharmacy
Proven accuracy, attention to detail, and reliability
Ability to perform in a fast-paced, high-volume dispensary
Strong communication skills and a collaborative team approach
Confidence using NZ pharmacy dispensing and stock systems
Professional attitude, accountability, and strong work ethic
Flexibility to work rostered shifts, including weekends
Full-time, permanent position
Hourly rate: $30β$45 per hour, depending on experience and capability
Remuneration is based on:
Depth and relevance of NZ community pharmacy experience
Accuracy, efficiency, and workflow contribution
Level of responsibility and demonstrated competence
