We are now looking for two Casual Retail Sales Assistants to join our Auckland stores.

About the Role

As a Casual Retail Sales Assistant, you will deliver an exceptional customer experience while representing the Mountain Jade brand with pride and professionalism.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Greeting all customers in a warm, friendly, and professional manner.

• Engaging with customers to understand their needs and recommend suitable products.

• Building and maintaining strong product knowledge, including the history and meaning behind our jade.

• Ensuring visual merchandising and promotional displays are well presented and fully stocked.

• Processing transactions accurately, including cash handling.

• Maintaining store presentation, cleanliness, and stock levels.

This role is based across Auckland International Airport and Mānawa Bay.

As a casual team member, there are no guaranteed hours. Hours will be offered based on business requirements, including covering annual leave, sick leave, peak trading periods, weekends, public holidays and seasonal demand. Flexibility to work across both store locations is essential.

If you don’t have previous retail experience but bring the right attitude, energy and personality, we are happy to train you.

Skills & Experience

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

• Previous retail or sales experience (preferred but not essential).

• An interest in jewellery and an appreciation for pounamu and craftsmanship.

• Comfort with using and pronouncing Te Reo Māori.

• A respectful, inclusive mindset and enjoyment working in a diverse environment.

• Availability to work early mornings, late nights, weekends and public holidays.

• Reliable transport to Auckland Airport for early morning (4:30am) and late evening (11:00pm) shifts.

• Flexibility to work across different shifts and locations, often at short notice.

• Strong communication and organisational skills.

• A customer-first, can-do attitude.

• The ability to work well as part of a team.
