We are seeking a Business Intelligence (Data & Analytics) Developer to join our Digital Collaboration and Analytics team based in our beautiful Dunsandel office but with the flexibility to work out of our Central Christchurch offices as well.

Reporting to the Data & Analytics Team Lead, you will be working closely with Subject Matter Experts, Project Managers, and the wider Information Services team to provide Data & Analytics (BI) services within Synlait.

As the Business Intelligence (Data & Analytics) Developer, you will be carrying out a range of data warehouse and business intelligence development activities to support a variety of projects through ETL development, database design, data modelling and building BI solutions including data visualisation and reporting. You will also work closely with external service providers and undertake to review their work.

Alongside your willingness to learn and grow, your drive and enthusiasm and your subject matter expertise, it would be advantageous for you to have the following experience to be successful in this role;

Skills and Experience:

• 5+ years' experience in Business Warehouse, BI, Data Warehouse, ETL, and Data Solutions including analysis, data modelling, solution design, development, and reporting.
• 5+ years’ experience on Microsoft BI Stack – SQL Server/SSIS/SSAS/SSRS is essential. 
• 5+ years’ hands on experience using Power BI, Power Query, MDX, DAX and Power BI Gateway.
• Experience in Dimensional Modelling / Star Schema Design.
• Experience of working in a fast-paced environment, love working with people and distributed teams and demonstrate great communication skills.
• Previous experience in working at a manufacturing organisation.
• Previous knowledge on data mining, data management, descriptive and predictive analytics, machine learning and visualisation would be an advantage.

Any experience with SAP BW/4HANA, SAP Analytics Cloud, or knowledge on SAP functional modules (FI, CO, SD, SCM, QM, TM, and GBT) and its integration with SAP BW is an advantage.
